Matt is a self-taught visual artist, focusing on optical perception and creating movement through the connection of static lines. His high-contrast optical art includes linework paintings, murals and digital etchings, creating a unique experience for each viewer. Matt combines his affinity for straight lines, mathematics and drafting techniques to create dynamic, perceived 3-dimensional pieces that vibrate, move and change shape based on the viewer’s proximity and angle to each piece.
